  Greeting!

Volodymyr Sirenko and Oleksandr Gornostay

Dear friends!

We would like to congratulate you with the 90th anniversary of the National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine!
The past anniversary season has been very interesting and eventful with our participation in six international festivals and competitions, performances by leading masters of the world of music, and concerts of such composers as Valentin Silvestrov, Yevhen Stankovych and Myroslav Skoryk. During this anniversary year we have performed with many great conductors such as Volodymyr Kozhukhar, Ihor Blazhkov, Fedir Hlushchenko and Theodore Kuchar – who have also been head conductors for our orchestra in the past. The Orchestra also took part in memorial concerts in honor of victims of Holodomor of 1932 –1933. These concerts took place in London, Amsterdam, Prague, Bratislava and Strasbourg. Our Orchestra’s performances last summer were main events at prestigious musical festivals in Portugal, France, Spain, and Ukrainian Cultural Days in Kazakhstan. And finally, for the first time in 9 years, we had a tour through Ukrainian cities.
Thanks to the diligent work of each and every musician the National Symphony Orchestra has set itself apart as a worldwide brand with enormous potential that can carry on traditions of the previous generations of classical collectives. We have reason to believe that the construction of a new concert hall, in which the only academic Ukrainian symphony orchestra will be able to properly present their art as the hall’s resident orchestra, will begin in the near future.
We are thankful for your support and are certain that the future repertoire of NSOU will continue to garner great interest and attention.
We will see you at our concerts!
